VENUS, the Feminine Creative Force
Venus has long been a symbol of femininity, motherhood, and fertility. In connection with clay – an elemental material from which we are born and to which we return – this relationship creates a powerful, almost ritualistic bond.
Intention:
During the course, we will immerse ourselves in figurative creation and the exploration of feminine essence. The space is open to your personal vision and creativity. We will approach the theme through clay modelling using the coil-building technique, gradually constructing volume and shaping the object through to its final details.
May 6 – Introduction to the theme and first contact with clay:
Overview of the historical context (Venus figurines) and defining your own creative intention. Introduction to the material, modelling techniques, and beginning of the project.
May 13 – Building the basic form:
Development of individual projects and shaping the primary structure. Space for expanding ideas.
May 20 – Refining the core form:
Continuation of the modelling process, stabilizing forms, and consolidating the overall structure of the object.
May 27 – Detail work and textures:
Refining details, working with surface textures, and final adjustments of the created piece.

- Working with Clay: You will learn the basic sculpting techniques and create your own unique ceramic piece.
- Individual Approach: The course is tailored to your experience level – suitable for both beginners and advanced learners.
- Relaxation and Rest: Pottery sculpting is a great way to escape the everyday hustle and recharge with positive energy.

Course details
- Duration: 1 entry = 8 hours of sculpting
- What's included in the price: Guidance from the instructor, materials (clay, all tools), two firings, tea/coffee/water.
- Location: Muoi Atelier, Floriánska 21, Vydrica, 81102 Bratislava
- Reservation: Spaces are limited, so prior reservation is required.
Additional information:
Cracks & Damage: During the firing process, items may develop cracks or become damaged, for example due to air bubbles in the material or uneven surfaces. Items with issues related to glaze, cracks, or damage cannot be refunded or claimed.
Pick-Up: Your pieces will be ready for collection approximately 6 weeks after the workshop. Once they are finished, I will contact you – thank you for your patience!
Uncollected Work: If the artworks are not collected within 1 month of the announced pickup date, we will proceed with processing them at our discretion.
